After the great success of our cycles and walks on the Greenway in the West of Ireland, RESPECT is delighted to announce that the 2017 ‘RESPECT Greenway Cycle & Walk’ will take place on Saturday 3rd June 2017 in Waterford.
This is a very family friendly event, and the route goes from Dungarvan to Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford followed by a GALA Dinner on the night in the Gold Coast Hotel, Dungarvan. The Hotel are offering preferential rates to all RESPECT participants.
Greenway Cycle Route
The Cycle is 46Km long, and stretches from Dungarvan to Kilmacthomas (return).
If you would prefer to walk, there are 2 walking distances:
- Kilmacthomas to Dungarvan (23 Kms)
- The Vee to Dungarvan (12.5Kms)
This event is both a sporting and social event. All participants are asked to base themselves in Dungarvan as transport is arranged from here. There is also a Gala Dinner taking place in The Gold Coast Golf Resort Hotel, Dungarvan, after the event has finished. The dinner is complimentary for all participants.
The special rates below have been agreed with the Gold Coast Hotel for cyclists and their families:
- If you are staying only one night then €55.00 pps
- If you are staying two nights then €95.00 pps
- €10 per single room per night supplement
- The self-catering lodge for 2 nights is €345
- 2 bedroom apartment self-catering is €220.

Registration and Fundraising
We ask that participants raise a minimum of €100 per person. Some of this money raised will also be used for a transport bus for St Vincent’s Centre, Navan Road.
