ABOUT RESPECT
RESPECT – an Irish Registered Charity (CHY 11481) – Responsible for Fundraising Projects for People with Intellectual Disabilities of all ages within the Daughters of Charity Service in the Dublin area.Since 1892, The Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul have worked hard to provide care, education and training for People with an Intellectual Disability. We provide a seamless partnership of care for people from infancy right through to old age. Our work is ultimately about people, their dignity and their quality of life. We have the responsibility of caring for 2,300 people, 800 of whom are in full-time residential care, with 1,500 attending our Specialist Centres on a daily basis.
Sr. Martha Hegarty D.C.
Director of RESPECT
Thanks to our generous supporters and friends, we have recently completed Nine Specially Designed Bungalows, Day Centre and Restaurant at Holy Angels, Glenmaroon, Chapelizod. This State of the Art Facility designed by Architects Burke Kennedy-Doyle and built by Moston Construction is a complex that all our Benefactors can be proud of and a project well worth visiting.

RESPECT was the sole contributor to the Development and Completion of the Bethal House Hospice Project at St. Joseph’s, Clonsilla. This Hospice is the first of its kind in Ireland – caring for the very ill and dying within our Service.
Unfortunately, not all our residents are housed in suitable accommodation. We urgently need to re-house people in specially designed bungalows at St. Joseph’s, Clonsilla.
Now we are calling on your generosity to supplement our own resources and the funds granted to us by the State, to replace old and unsuitable buildings. All of us in society have a shared responsibility to ensure the welfare of those less fortunate than ourselves. I know I can rely on your support and I have no doubt our hopes and aspirations for the future will be realised. With your help, we will transform numerous lives, not only now, but for generations to come.
